What is That Fluid Under My Car?

If you have ever approached where you vehicle was parked and noticed fluid pooling under it, it's often cause for alarm. Water can commonly condense from the air conditioner in hot weather, but if the fluid has any color, it's most likely something else. Here are the most common types of fluid leaks your vehicle can experience.

Oil is the most common, and typically occurs toward the front of your vehicle. It's brown or black in color and may have a burnt smell, usually coming from a leaking gasket. Antifreeze also comes from the front of the vehicle and is generally red or pink in color.
