2022 Volkswagen Jetta Capability Features

Every Jetta has a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that generates 158 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, driving the front wheels. Six-speed manual transmissions are standard on the basic model, but eight-speed automatics are available as an upgrade. It sits on 17-inch wheels and incorporates an electrically locking front differential.

The Volkswagen Jetta's front suspension is a torsion beam with a MacPherson strut in front and a multilink setup at the rear, with an anti-roll bar. It has all-season tires on steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes and ABS.

The mid-range Jetta SEL provides a power driver's seat, a six-way manually adjustable front passenger seat and an eight-speaker audio system. An electro-hydraulic Haldex 5 center differential distributes power between the front and back axles for all-wheel drive. The Jetta has a sport suspension, a stiffer ride, more responsive handling and improved body control.

The Volkswagen Jetta GLI adds a sport-tuned suspension and a quicker steering rack. It also has enhanced brake cooling, an automatic parking system, a power moonroof and heated front seats.
